For almost 20 years, C. C. Ledbetter, a former cartographer for the U.S. Naval Hydrographic Office, has hosted her guests in a house full of history - the original house dates from 1768, and was probably the servant's quarters for nearby John Brown House. As a B&B, it has been highlighted in Yankee magazine, Frommer's, Fodor's, the Rough Guide, and many others. Quiet accommodations on a tree-lined street include a common dining room, cozy sitting room with fireplace, and a spectacular rose garden featuring peonies and David Austin roses (complete with hammock!). |
